Natalia Petrik acts as counsel in arbitral proceedings and related court litigation in international dispute resolution. Her work covers commercial, investment, and regulatory disputes, with a particular focus on the Nordic region, Central and Eastern Europe, and CIS-related matters.
She has extensive experience of arbitration in the Nordics, supported by her background as a Swedish-qualified lawyer. She also regularly advises on disputes involving Eastern European and CIS jurisdictions. Earlier in her career, Natalia served as Deputy Secretary General of the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce (SCC).
Natalia has acted as arbitrator in disputes in the energy and pharmaceutical sectors. As counsel, she has represented clients in energy-related arbitrations and in set-aside proceedings before the Svea Court of Appeal (Svea hovrätt). Her practice includes advising clients at the pre-challenge stage, including assessments of challenge prospects and procedural strategy.
In addition to her disputes practice, Natalia advises on regulatory and sanctions-related matters. Her recent work includes assisting a multinational corporation with the review and development of sanctions-compliance and due diligence frameworks, as well as advising a client on corporate restructuring and the establishment of business operations in Sweden.
Natalia is ranked by Lexology as a recommended arbitration practitioner for Sweden. She serves as a board member of the Finland Arbitration Institute and as a member of the Advisory Board of the Stockholm International Hearing Center.
She is the ITA Country Reporter for Sweden and the author of the Survey Report on Nordic Arbitral Institutions, which provides a comparative analysis of leading Nordic arbitral institutions and procedural developments.
Natalia is fluent in English, Swedish, and Russian, and has a working knowledge of Ukrainian and Italian.
