I joined Westerberg in 2019 after having worked with the team for several years at another law firm. Prior to this, I served as senior legal counsel at a Swedish collective rights’ management organization where I was responsible for legal advice on global licensing.
I have worked within the field of IP since 2009 with a focus on copyright, where I have litigated and advised clients in a wide range of industries. I also have broad experience in trademarks, design, unfair marketing and trade secrets, on which I have advised and litigated, nationally and internationally. I consider clear lawyer-to-client communication and organizational skills to be the key to giving professional legal advice, whether litigating for a major corporation, advising a small start-up or working in mergers and acquisitions on behalf of IP clients.
Recent work highlights include: defending a major pharmaceutical company’s trademark rights; defending a fintech company against claims of misappropriation of trade secrets and copyright infringement; advising a leading global music licensing hub and representing a major tobacco company in design matters before the General Court.
I have been ranked as a Rising Star 2019-2021 by IP Stars. I am a board member of AIPPI Sweden and a member of SFU and SFIR. I have lectured in copyright and trademark law at Stockholm and Uppsala University and speak and write regularly on a wide variety of IP topics.
