I joined Westerberg as a partner upon the firm’s foundation. I have been practising law with the team that makes up Westerberg since 2008, with breaks for a secondment to the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce and a period of public practice. I am highly engaged in matters in which I am instructed, and work to keep a high degree of focus on details without losing sight of the bigger picture.
I have a background in commercial dispute resolution in general and international arbitration in particular. I joined the IP practice in 2016.Since then I have mainly focused on patent litigation and licence agreement arbitration as well as copyright and trade secrets disputes. I work mainly with contentious matters but I am happy to advise clients on non-contentious matters.
I have advocated before the Swedish Supreme Court and have appeared before the Court of Justice of the European Union. Recent work includes representing a pharmaceutical company in a patent infringement dispute involving an invalidity claim; a medical device company in arbitration under a patent licence agreement; and a multi-venue dispute relating to several IP rights as well as contractual rights in the Fintech sector.
I have co-authored a chapter on international arbitration in Sweden for a handbook on the subject and have been involved in other projects in the arbitration field. I am a member of AIPPI and domestic Swedish associations for IP lawyers. My colleagues and I hold seminars on IP related issues.
Recent recognition includes:
“has superb coordination skills and a keen eye for litigation strategy” (IAM Patent 1000 2021)
